I participated in the Scrum Life Management 3.0 Training!

During the 2022-2023 period, my former Manager (Maxime H, thank you to you) spoke to me with great passion about Jurgen Appelo, and Management 3.0.

He suggested that I start by experimenting with Moving Motivators, and here I am in research, but especially in the richness of the internet and its endless articles, with good and less good… Beyond Management 3.0, I was looking for support, content and training to refine my team animation skills…

That’s when I saw that Scrum Life was hosting a Management 3.0 training course “Become a 3.0 Manager” led by Robin Béraud-Sudreau ****, it was really well timed! Perfect timing 🙂

What is Management 3.0?

Management 3.0 is a huge toolbox, with a very Agile, very human mindset.

The whole is distinguished by an approach centered on autonomy, encouragement to initiative, valorization of creativity and maximum transparency in the company. Managers adopt a role closer to a coach/supporter rather than a “controller”, thus creating a more balanced and participatory relationship with the teams.

An excellent way to bring or improve the self-organization of teams, and the development of people! All thanks to a large number of tools and workshops in which one can pick.

In summary, the objectives are to promote employee engagement, while freeing up time for more rewarding tasks for managers, and improving overall productivity.

A program that makes sense

From the moment I took a look at the program of this training, I was pleasantly surprised and interested. Here are the topics covered (which you can find in the program):

  • The evolution of team management
  • The difference between different types of leadership
  • The principles of Management 3.0
  • Grasping complexity
  • The importance of team engagement and motivation
  • How to make teams autonomous
  • The impact of values and corporate culture
  • The development of employees’ skills
  • How to manage the difficulties of an organizational transformation
  • Continuous improvement

I really appreciated the structure of the program. I immediately had the feeling that everything was thought out to help us understand each topic in depth. (at the same time, this is not Robin’s first training!)

The Scrum Life approach

In my training with Scrum Life, I really appreciated their approach, if I watch the Scrum Life videos (and I appear in some of them :D), it’s because in addition to feeling the experience of the people animating the channel, bringing me concrete and perspective for my professional daily life, the way of approaching the subjects is different from usual, refreshing, and I really appreciate this mindset!

So this is what I wanted to find a minimum in the training, and it was present: a relaxed and playful atmosphere throughout the two days, while maintaining a good level of professionalism.

I could summarize in one sentence: “Learning should not be a chore, but a rewarding and enjoyable experience.” Each moment was not only instructive, but also entertaining and inspiring. For me, that makes all the difference…

An enriching sharing of experiences

One of the strengths of this training is undoubtedly the place given to discussion and sharing. Rather than simply listening to a trainer (as was often done in the past), I had the chance to actively participate in exchanges with Robin and the other participants (who were also very interesting). This perfectly complements the training which is already very interesting.

Practical exercises for better assimilation

The training does not stop at theory and exchanges and gives us the chance to be able to experiment right away.

I had the opportunity to immediately put into practice through various well-constructed workshops, with the other participants. No doubt that this better prepares for future everyday situations.

An involved, experienced and passionate trainer

The Scrum Life trainer, Robin, is really involved and willing.

He shared with us his own experiences and was able to give us concrete and useful advice for our daily lives.

The training oozes his passion for the subject and he was able to transmit it to each of us, as well as his experience (this is not his first training, and it shows!)

The training is certifying

At the end of the training, you will receive an official Management 3.0 “Foundation Workshop” certification.

For me, it’s not just an additional line on your resume, it testifies to an additional commitment in this desire to become better in our daily lives.

Depending on the company where you are, this is considered or not, in any case the certifications are always reassuring for the clients with whom you can work (In any case, if you are in ESN, your salespeople will not hesitate to play the argument to negotiate the increase of your Daily Average Rate when the time comes).

In conclusion

If you are looking for a Management 3.0 training, or simply if you want to develop your skills and knowledge in management, team animation, coaching, or if you are a Scrum Master, project pilot, if you want to better understand and better accompany your colleagues, your companies, I can only recommend this training.

In addition to having spent two excellent days, in a good mood, and in a state of mind that totally suits me, this training has provided me with concrete tools for my professional daily life, a lot of perspective on practices and the evolution of the world of work, but it also inspired me to continue learning and developing as a professional, as a Manager, as a human being..

These kinds of moments remind us of how vast our profession is, requiring continuous learning and constant self-questioning, but above all how much the human being and his singularities are at the heart of it.
